For our two-wheel fun object avoidance robotics experience, we will need driving servos. Hobby servos are inexpensive but most are not continuous rotation. Meaning that the shaft only rotates over a limited range. There are continuous rotation servo motors available but limited range of motion servos can be modified to have a 360-degree full range of motion. The modification process is shown in a video.

For this particular application, a high-performance servo is not required. The robot will not be heavy, require high speed or precision movement.Hobby Servo motors can operate over a range of voltages from ~4.8V to ~6V. Torque and speed are directly related to the supply voltage. To provide additional information, here is a list of typical servos.
The process at this point is to obtain two hobby digital servos and modify both to continuous rotation. Hobby supply stores and online sources are your best bet.
